Sarah Liz, October plans

It's taken me a while to work out what to make for this month.  I decided on a very pale opal colour - more the colour of the rock it comes from, I suspect, than the actual gem.

I want to use a small piece of hanky linen I have had in my stash for years, and I will cut this dress down to make a top length version.

Happy sewing everyone.

  3. I looked up some of the reviews on this dress. I think your top version will look lovely. I'm assuming that you won't have enough fabric to do the tucks?

  4. I love this pattern. It's very similar to a Carolina Herrera design I saw recently.

  5. The tucks make the item in my opinion so I do hope you have enough to make them. I am fascinated by linen as you have described and hope to acquire necessary skills to sew it very soon. I would like nothing better than to make an Edwardian shirtwaist with a handkerchief linen like the Past Patterns one in my stash.

    Best with this project.

    Cheers,
