A winter dress to wash away the sewing drought

I haven't been sewing much lately... Life persists in getting in the way. But I did finish a cool-weather dress for myself over the weekend.

I used the new Version 6 of Wild Ginger's PatternMaster Boutique to draft it, and I'm very happy with how it came out. More pictures and details on my blog.

  1. Looks like a shirtwaist to me. One of my fave 50's styles. Welcome back to sewing. You did a good thing pushing "life" over for some time sew you could sew.

    Cheers,

  4. A corduroy shirtwaister! What could be better for autumn and winter? I read your blog entry. I take it you recommend Wild Ginger's Pattern Master Boutique? Is this the one to start with? I've looked at a few different ones.
