May garment finished

I finished the burda jacket to go with the dress I completed previously.

I have reviewed on Pattern Review here and there is more information on my blog
It's rather more formal than I anticipated, but it feels nice.
I might add a catch at the front - I don't fancy a belt like the model on the pattern envelope is wearing.
I'm very pleased with my first foray into checks.

  6. In fact, this is one rare case where the actual finished garment actual looks better than the picture on the pattern envelope. :-)

  8. Thank you all for your kind comments. Sorry, BeaJay, I don't know why you didn't get access to my blog - perhaps I didn't post the link properly. On the other hand, I'm having problems replying tonight! Twice I have lost my comment to the ether!

  9. I think I have read that other people have had problems commenting on Blogger - I never have, but it does seem to happen.

I love this outfit Anne - it may be formal, but sometimes that is what is needed. If not, each item can be worn in it's own right and could be used with more casual garments.
