April down, May up!

I finished my April skirt in the last hour or so of April...and I finally have pictures to post! I made up a skirt using New Look 6215 and the last of my mustard coloured (somewhat wrinkly!) fabric.

  1. I read your blog story and I agree that patterns are often lacking in telling the beginner seamstress how to do some things well -- like, as you mentioned, a zipper. I've noticed that with collars, too. I had a great home ec teacher in high school, and then in college to help me learn the little details that help make a zipper, collar, pockets, etc look good.
