January - finally photographed!

I gave up waiting for sun and warmer temperatures in order to get an outside shot and just made do with clouds and a big window.  So what happens today?  The sun is out and it's warmer!  But getting my husband to take pictures is like pulling teeth (no offense to any dentists out there) so not much chance of a re-shoot.  Note to self: get a tripod and figure out the camera's timer.

So, here is the dress, Vogue 8919.  It was an incredibly easy garment to put together; four pieces in total.  I did make a quick muslin of the top to make sure it fit but unless you regularly need a lot of adjustments, it's probably not necessary.

The print is from Mood.  The brown ponte is from Fabricmart.com.  Amazing that they were a perfect match.  I highly recommend this pattern.

  6. Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. Have to say that seeing it photographed, it could stand to be nipped in a bit at the waist to give it a little slimmer line. Taking pictures can be a pain but the information gained is valuable.
